Targeting at Delhi Chief Minister ArvindKejriwal, Revenue and Public Relations Minister Punjab, Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, said that after repeatedly opposing Punjab in the ongoing case pertaining to river waters in the Supreme Court, how the backstabber Kejriwal will face the people of Punjab.Mr. Majithia was addressing a gathering at village Shamnagar, after distributing grant worth Rs 3 crore for the development of BhagaliKalan, Gujjarapura, BhagaliKhurd, TalwandiDasauda Singh, Shamnagar and Ludhar. He said that Kejriwal has no agenda for the state, but then he should also not make an error of considering the people of the state as fools. He said that Kejriwal while in Punjab shed crocodile tears for farmers on the issue of SYL but he is actually demonstrating selfish and opportunistic politics. He said that SYL is not a political or legal issue for Punjabis but it is the breathing artery of the state and should be taken up very seriously.
He said that the state has not even a single drop that can be shared with other states. He said that history bears witness to the fact that due to anti Punjab decisions of Congress, Punjab is already facing scarcity of canal waters and to fulfil the need of water, tube wells are being dug, which in turn has adversely affected groundwater level. He said that in such a scenario if any decision comes in contrast to Riparian principle, the people of the state will not tolerate it. He questioned that what expectations can the people of Punjab have from Kejriwal who demolished the piau adjoining a Gurudwara in Delhi and giving no representation whatsoever to any Sikh in his cabinet.In a strict tone Mr. Majithia said that frustrated AAP leader should not try to intimidate the media after revelation of the role of Kejriwal government in purposely demolishing the piau.He said that in the past 9 years Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has taken to the state to the heights of development where asKejriwal is engaged in useless, ineffectual publicity and has failed to spend more than 3 thousand crore of central funds for the development of Delhi.Earlier, Mr. Majithia laid the foundation stone of the dozens of development projects.
