3-day self defence camp held at GHSS Soura

A three-day self-defence camp for girls concluded today at Girls Higher Secondary School Soura. The camp was organised by Kashmir Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Association under the supervision of Sensei Mujahid Yaqoob, Chief Style Head and Examiner KSSKD.The aim of the camp was to impart self defence techniques to the participant girls so that they are able to defend themselves in demanding situations. About 150 girls participated in the self-defence camp where experts highlighted the importance of Marshall Arts for maintaining physical and mental fitness as well.The girl participants demonstrated karate skills and breathtaking stunts during the camp.The Seiko Kai Karate Association also conducted trials for referees under expert supervision in which six boys and five girls qualified as referees.The president Amateur Karate Association Ganderbal was the chief guest while as Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School was the guest of honour.The school administration hailed the efforts of the organisers and urged them to organise such camps in various parts of the state in future as well so that girls are acquainted with self defense techniques.
