Abdul Haq Khan inspects ongoing works of District Court Complex Samba

Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan toady inspected the ongoing works of  District Court Complex at Nandani Hills Samba.Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Nanda, Legislor   Devinder Kumar Manyal were also present on the occasion.Chief Architect briefed the Minister about the lay out plan with display of drawings as well as pictures of the proposed court complex. He was informed that the project coming up at a cost of Rs. 2027.00 lakh will accommodate the Court of Principal District and Sessions Judge and all subordinate courts.Superintendent Engineer JKPHC apprised that the complex comprises a total plinth area of 43,498 square feet with provisions of a court building, advocates’ chambers, library, conference hall, Bar room, canteen and mediation center.

The Minister directed the executing agency - Jammu & Kashmir Police Housing Corporation (JKPHC) to redouble their efforts and expedite the pace of work to complete the project   within stipulated time frame. The minister directed DDC Samba to personally monitor the execution of works.Later, the members of Bar association Samba called on the Minister and apprised him with their grievances. The minister assured them that their grievances would be redressed at the earliest.Among others Law Secretary, DDC Samba, District Judge Samba, members of the Bar association Samba, officials and a large number of prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
