Lalru, falling in the jurisdiction of SAS Nagar is known as a gate way of Punjab will be developed as a modern city and sufficient funds will be ensured for providing basic facilities. Disclosing this Chief Parliamentary Secretary and Local Legislator Sh. N.K.Sharma said that a new look will be provided to Lalru Town. As such Rs. 4 crore 16 lacs will be spend for total facelift of villages falling under Lalru Panchayat.Sh. Sharma said that 4 New tubewells worth Rs. 1 crore 20 lacs will be installed for providing drinking water supply. With the installation of these tubewells problem of drinking water will be completely resolved. Sh. Sharma said that Rs. 44 lacs 79 thousand will be spent for providing metalled road from Gas Plant to Alamgir & till Dehar. Meanwhile Rs. 46 lacs 22 thousand will be spent for strengthening of Chaundheri road. Rs. 39 lac 30 thousand will be spent for providing drainage system at Amarpuri Colony which falls under Lalru Panchayat and Rs. 39 lacs 34 thousand will be spent for drainage at Lalru Mandi. 

Meanwhile Rs.47 lacs 15 thousand will be spent for providing drainage  & water disposal arrangement at ward no. 1, 2, 3 & 5 which falls under Lalru Panchayat. Similarly Rs. 38 lacs 96 thousand will be spent for Ward No. 10 & 16 & Rs. 40 lacs 25 thousand will be spent for ward no. 11 & 15 of Lalru. He said that directions for timely completion of these development works have been given to the officials.Sh. sharma said further said that 65 new water works will be established at Block Dera Bassi so that drinking water facility could be ensured for the rural population and every village ash been connected with water works so that the villagers could not face any crisis of water during summer season. He further said that during last 4 years Rs. 450 crore has been spent for various development works at Block Dera Bassi and during this year Rs. 160 crore will be spent for various development works.Photo Caption: Chief Parliamentary Secretary Industry & Commerce and Local Legislator Sh.
