Inhabitants of Habba Kadal Wednesday staged protest against the recently implemented National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the state.The inhabitants took to streets and blocked the main road of the area thereby disrupted the vehicular movement in the locality.The protesters were chanting slogans like ‘We want justice’ and were demanding rollback of the recently implemented law in the state.Eye-witnesses told KNS that the ever-lasting numbers of vehicles were stranded in the area as the angry protesters were not allowing vehicle to ply. “With implementing an anti-people law in Kashmir, the authorities are leaving lakhs of rice eaters to lurch at large. The authorities should look into the matter and should rollback the recently implemented law from the state,” the protesters said.They said that if the authorities will fail to rollback NFSA from the state then they will again take streets and will block the main road in the area till the law will not be revoked.
