With an objective to provide an opportunity to the young students to exhibit their skills, art of public speaking, District Information Centre, Kishtwar organized a declamation contest on “Role of Youth in Nation Building” in Government Girls High school Atholi, Paddar.The school level declamation contest was organized to infuse the spirit of nationalism among the students in which seven girl students expressed their views on the topic among which Monika Thakur of class 10th was adjudged first whereas the second position and third position was bagged by Vanishika Chouhan of class 10th and Pooja Devi and Pallavi Devi both students of class 10th respectively.
Addressing the young participants, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Paddar, Sanjeev Rana said that promoting the spirit of nationalism and patriotic feelings among the youth and masses is the foundation of nation-building. He also said that leadership qualities and communication skills in the youth will enable them to lead in all walks of life and contribute towards nation-building. On the occasion, a scintillating cultural programme was organized by the students and locals artists.In the evening, a Sham-e–Gazal was also organized by the District Information Centre in the office premises of Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulab Garh Paddar in which the locals artists presented their Lok Geets, Poems, Gazals and other artistic compositions in Paddari, Hindi and local languages which were appreciated by audiences.
