District Information centre Kishtwar organized a declamation contest on “Global warming and associated effects” at Government Higher secondary school (Boys) Kishtwar.Assistant Director Employment, Ashraf Wani was the chief guest on the occasion . District Information officer Kishtwar,  Anoop Kumar, District Immunization officer, Dr Daisy Parihar, Principal  Parmila Sharma besides others also attended the programme.About 11 participants   expressed their views on the issue  suggested various innovative ways to curb the harmful impacts of   Global warming .  Mohd Sameer of class 11th was adjudged first, while  Abu-Zar of class 11th and Mohd Bin Shahid of class 11th secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.A scintillating cultural programme was also organized  by DIC on the occasion in which local artists of Kishtwar presented the  compositions like lok Geet, Qawalis,Ghazals etc in Kishtwari, urdu and Punjabi languages  which kept the audience spell bound.
