In order to finalize cases of land acquisition under private negotiation and compulsory acquisition for various developmental projects, a Private Negotiations Committee (PNC) meeting was today held at Baramulla with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal in chair.The meeting was convened to fix the rates of land in various areas of the district required for different projects as per Land Acquisition Act.A total of eight cases were taken up during the PNC; notably land acquisition case related to the construction of 132 KV Railway Station Transmission line at Delina, construction of PHC at Pazwalpora Sopore and construction of Pump house Cum Operator Room at Saidpora Sopore. Besides, cases related to the acquisition of land for construction of PMGSY road from Salamabad to Gouhalan Uri and from Neelofar to Pakipora Pattan were also taken up.Compensation for fruit growers in the acquired land was also considered during the PNC.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Tehsildars. Besides, Officers of concerned departments and private owners of the land in question were also present.
