Questioning the ‘eagerness’ of Mehbooba Mufti to form the government with Bhartiya Janata Party, Congress party Tuesday said that if, “Mehbooba is ready to run the government on previous ‘salary’ then why she wasted over two months.” “After realizing that party has lost ground in Kashmir Valley, PDP enacted a drama to befool the people. The reality is that BJP has not accepted any new conditions from PDP and the situation is same that prevailed during the time of late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed,” State Congress president Ghulam Ahmed Mir told CNS adding that PDP is answerable before the people and the voters have right to know which new conditions have been accepted by BJP.
Mir asked Mehbooba Mufti to clarify the confidence building measures which have been agreed upon with BJP, over which she had delayed government formation in Jammu and Kashmir for over two months. “She has wasted the time of the people and brought state under Governor’s Rule. She is accountable before the people and she must clarify which new conditions have been accepted by BJP,” Mir said adding that PDP betrayed people by forming government with the party (BJP) against whom people voted in Valley.
