As the hopes of government formation in Jammu and Kashmir have rekindled after PDP president Mehbooba Mufti met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday forenoon, BJP has said that "final round of negotiations" would take place after PDP holds the all important legislative party meet.Talking to KNS, the BJP point-man on Kashmir and national general secretary Ram Madav said that meeting between Prime Minister and Mehbooba Mufti was formal in which government formation in Jammu and Kashmir was discussed. Madav, who is considered to be PM’s close confident, said that Prime Minister told Mehbooba Mufti that the party (BJP) was the appropriate forum to talk to, for arriving at any consensus regarding government formation.“Prime Minister told her that the party (BJP) was the appropriate forum for engagement on government formation.” Madav told KNS. He said that both the parties will hold 'final round of negotiations' once the PDP is done with the legislative party meeting.Meanwhile BJP State general secretary Ashok Koul said that Agenda of Alliance was for six years and it wasn’t possible to finish it in just 10 months. He however, said that when Prime minster says it publically in Srinagar that New Delhi’s doors were open for Kashmiris, what else assurance one would ask other than that. ? Koul who is in Leh told KNS that BJP’s stand was clear from day one and the party was always ready to form government in the state and it was now upto PDP to take a call.“We were ready from day one, but nothing can be said unless PDP speaks about it in clear terms. Let them take a call now.” Koul said. (KNS)
