The inauguration ceremony will be held at a later stage,” Director Floriculture Talat Parviz told CNS. He said the garden was thrown open three weeks before the scheduled time as the weather this year remained conducive for early blooming of the tulips.“Majority of the bulbs of tulips have completely bloomed adding beauty to the vast 15-hectare garden. Hundreds of tourists as well locals visited the garden shortly after we threw it open for visitors,” he said.Pertinently, this Tulip garden was opened in 2008 by the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
