A delegation of Sikh & Punjabi leaders of Delhi led by BJP’s National Secretary Sardar R.P. Singh & Organising Secretary of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat Shri Avinash Jaiswal today presented a Saropa to felicitate the Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley for making a provision of Rs. 100 crores in the Budget 2016 for the celebration of Guru Gobind Singh’s 350th Anniversary. The delegation included BJP & Sikh Sangat leaders Shri Ashish Sood, Sardar Hartirath Singh, Shri Harbakshish Singh, Shri Jaspal Singh Manchanda, Shri Malkiyat Singh, Shri Devender Singh Gujral, Shri Subhash Sachdeva, Shri Rajiv Babbar, Shri Harish Khurana, Sardar Kulvinder Singh Bunty, Sardar Sukhpreet Singh Malhotra, Sardar Kanwaldheer Singh.
On the occasion Shri Arun Jaitley lauded the role of the Sikhs & Gurdwaras in the freedom movement, agriculture, industry, defence, natural calamities & other social activities of the country. He said that the amount being released in the honor of Guru Gobind Singh is inspired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Sarv Dharm Sambhav ideal. If need be Government will increase the amount so that Guru Gobind Singh’s message of national unity and integration can be taken to every home.
