Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that National Conference working President Omar Abdullah has lost the plot and has for seen that NC has no future.Reacting to the barrage of allegations leveled by Omar on BJP, the party spokesman Khalid Jehangir said in a statement to KNS, “It seems Omar has forgotten that he was a part of the BJP led government in the Centre and has served as a junior minister during the regime of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”Jehangir said , “Omar by labeling BJP communal and claiming that it’s at war with Muslims is trying to polarize the environment and is raking non-issues like flag and autonomy to mislead the people. History stands testimony to the fact that NC leaders have always misled the people by indulging in mere rhetoric.”He said, “Omar Abdullah wants to become Mughal king of modern India.”
The BJP spokesman said, “National Conference is not a common man’s party. Its Baap-Beta party. NC leaders have turned party into their personal property. NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah nurtured his son as his successor, while other leaders have followed his footsteps and have introduced their sons as their heirs.” He said, “NC getting decimated in 2014 parliamentary and assembly polls is an ample proof of the fact that people have rejected the party and days of the NC leaders are numbered.”Jehangir said, “NC by demonizing BJP wants to alienate the people of Kashmir from the mainstream politics. It wants that people should always remain away from Centre and they should not get benefitted by the people friendly schemes of the New Delhi. NC leaders enjoy very good personal relations with the people in Delhi and they have made a fortune by keeping leaders in Delhi happy but they want to keep Kashmiris away from Delhi to safeguard their own vested interests. They have hoodwinked people of Kashmir for the past 60-years and want to carry on with the same practice.”The BJP spokesman said, “Times have changed and people also have understood the nefarious designs of the NC leaders. They (NC leaders) cannot mislead the people anymore.” He said, “The success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his endevaour to reach out to the people has frustrated the NC leaders. They leveling baseless allegations against BJP is sheer frustration and nothing more, as they have realized that they cannot take masses for ride anymore.” (KNS)
