Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) is holding a press conference on Wednesday (02/03) in the Executive Office of Her Highness SheikhaJawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimiat 10 am to announce the launch of “Badiri” Women’s Enterprise Development Virtual Academy, the first of its kind initiative in the region.“Badiri” Women’s Enterprise Development Virtual Academy will be a digital platform for aspiring and current women entrepreneurs in Sharjah and in the UAE, providing resources, training and a community of empowered female peers. It will provide them with innovative practical blended learning programs and workshops that aim to develop practical learning outcomes. The details will be discussed during the press conference.The initiative is under the directive of Her Highness SheikhaJawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of “Nama” Women Advancement Establishment, Founder and Honorary Patron of Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC), and aims to train women and prepare them to become successful business women and entrepreneurs.
The launch of “Badiri” commemorates the 14th anniversary of Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC), coinciding with week of International Women’s Day on March 8. The implementation of the initiative is in collaboration with “Potential”, the pioneering social enterprise that is leading the way in the Education Technology space (EdTech), which provides a variety of educational programs developing the skills of tens of thousands of individuals and enterprises in more than 30 countries around the world.The Sharjah Business Women Council comes under "NAMA" Women Advancement Establishment, which aims to develop opportunities for women in economic, professional and social, sectors. SBWC was established in 2002, aims to create and enhance the work environment for women as well as to train and prepare women to enter into private economic activities that will leader to greater social and economic development.
