Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday condemned the attack on journalists in New Delhi in connection with the JNU row and alleged that the government is "planting RSS VCs" in universities."The way journalists were assaulted, it is absolutely wrong and we condemn it," said Gandhi who is visiting Assam for a political rally. "They are planting RSS VCs (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh vice chancellors) in every university. They are suppressing the voice of Indian students, but we will not let it happen," the Congress leader said. He added that it is fine to have an opinion but it should not be imposed on others. On Monday, some journalists were roughed up at Patiala House Courts in New Delhi in connection with the hearing of a case of sedition against the president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) Kanhaiya Kumar.
