Paying tributes to the two youth Danish Farooq and Shaista Hamid, who were killed by Indian forces on Sunday, Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday said whether the government is led by NC, PDP or the state is witnessing Governor’s rule, carrying atrocities against Kashmiris in every tenure has remained a state policy. The Mirwaiz, who has been placed under house arrest since Sunday evening and barred from performing his political, social and religious obligations said Kashmiri people had for the past several decades been at the receiving end of inhumane treatment and gravest atrocities.Stressing that the third generation of Kashmiris was now being deliberately targeted, the Hurriyat (M) Chairman said the killing of two young innocent students in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was a proof that the government was, executing a well-planned conspiracy to annihilate and wipe out the entire generation of Kashmiri youth.

Suggesting that by using excessive force and unleashing its military might on the innocent civilians, the genuine voice of the people of Kashmir demanding their just right of self-determination cannot be crushed, the Mirwaiz said the oppressive and repressive tactics would not help drag the long-standing Kashmir issue under the carpet.Cautioning that by carrying inhumane of atrocities in Kashmir every other day leading to the killings of innocent civilians, the situation in Kashmir is getting from bad to worse instead of being controlled, the Hurriyat (M) Chairman said by keeping Kashmir issue unresolved was leading to everyday bloodshed of Kashmiris.Explaining that it was due to the long-pending Kashmir issue that the region was witnessing bloodshed for the past several decades, the Mirwaiz said until this human and political issue would be resolved while keeping its historical context in mind, peace would elude Kashmir, India, Pakistan and the entire South Asia.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of Hurriyat (M) condemned the house arrest of the Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Faooq at his Nigeen residence since Sunday evening, the arrest of senior Huriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza at Police Station Sher Bagh, Islamabad, house detention of senior APHC leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, and use of excessive force and atrocities on the unarmed protestors and common masses of entire Pulwama area following the killing of the two innocent civilians in the region. The spokesman also condemned the imposition of curfew in most parts of Srinagar and entire Pulwama district and termed the victimization of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir as undemocratic policy of the government indulging in political vendetta.

The spokesman also paid glowing tributes to senior resistance leader Ghulam Ahmad Bulla and other martyrs of Haigam on their martyrdom anniversary.Hurriyat (M) delegation comprising of senior Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Musadiq Adil, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Abdul Majeed Wani, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Ghulam Nabi Wasim, Jaffar Kashmiri, Abdul Rashid Kaboo besides several other Hurriyat activists held a prayer Majlis at Martyrs Graveyard at Sopore for the martyr Gulam Mohammad Bulla and others. The amalgam also held prayers to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs at Haigam and paid glowing tributes to these martyrs who were killed in the firing by forces and resolved to take the mission of the martyrs to its logical conclusion.
