Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said after the formation of NDA Government the country would witness historic Administrative Reforms as Punjab had shown the way to ensure efficient delivery system by transforming the system. Interacting with media persons here today, Badal accompanied by Bikram Singh Majithia, Public Relations Minister, asserted that the Lokpal was not a solution to check corruption rather the prevailing complicated official mechanism need to be overhauled according to the fast changing scenario. He said he was not opposed to the constitution of Lokpal but was a strong votary of out of box administrative reforms to minimize the interaction between common masses and government offices. Badal said AAP was imitating the style of functioning of Shiromani Akali Dal and was yet take even 10 percent of the initiatives implemented by the SAD. Giving the example of Sangat Darshans of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Mr. Badal said that the initiatives taken by AAP now were the 50 years old and tested style of functioning of Punjab CM. He informed that SAD would announce the names of its candidates for the general elections after the announcement of Lok Sabha polls.Taking a dig at the ongoing infighting over announcement of office bearers in Punjab Congress, Mr. Badal said that Punjab Congress was in total disarray and heading for disastrous performance in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. He said part of the infighting could be due to corruption in doling out party offices. Badal said the the way the Congress led UPA Government had ruined the country, Mr. Narendra Modi was a last hope for bringing back the derailed economy on track and providing an efficient and decisive regime to the country. He said that Mr. Modi has already proved his mettle in Gujarat by taking his state to higher orbit of overall development.
