Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a public meeting with residents of Ekta Vihar Colony to take stock of problems being faced by the people of the colony.On the occasion, the locals put forth their demands which included repair of main Nullah, improving the drainage systems in the colony, construction of park, removing the encroachments, release of sanctioned amount in favour of recently flood affected people of the areas, installation of new poles etc
The speaker gave a patient hearing to the projected demands and asked the concerned departments to take adequate measures to redress the grievances of the people in time bound manner .He underlined the importance of public cooperation in all-round development of the state and urged them to come forward and monitor the ongoing development works.Among others, Harbans Choudhary, Mandal Pardhan, Satwari, S Roop Singh, President Ekta Vihar Development Committee, S. Baldev Singh, S Gurdyal Singh, S. Jeet Singh, S. Rajinder Singh, Gulshan Kumar, Ranjeet Singh and a large number of locals were also present in the meeting.
