Dooru police have solved the murder mystery of 46 year old Abdul Hameed Malik son of Gulam Rasool Malik ,Imam Masjid of Bragam area of Dooru Shahabad in Anantnag district by arresting his 14 year old son Mohsin Hameed Malik .The dead body of Abdul Hameed Malik was found in his paddy field on 9 February this month.Addressing a news conference at SP office Khanabal SP Anantnag Abdul Jabar said that a deep wound was found on his head and it was presumed that he has been attacked by an axe or any sharp edged weapon. “Dooru Police had registered a case and during the investigation the son of the Imam was found the culprit who was arrested and put to sustained interrogation.”"The accused admitted to have killed his father as according to him he abhorred him since childhood. Mohsin found his father alone in the field and attacked him with an axe. Later he cried and pretended that his father had been killed by unknown persons. It was a blind murder case but police solved it within 3 days,” SP Abdul Jabbar said adding that an FIR vide number 15/2016 under section 302 has been registered in this regard. (CNS)
