Traffic Police Srinagar in a drive against traffic violations today booked 80 vehicles which include seizure of 40 vehicles for wrong and obstructive parking, overloading in passenger vehicles, intermittent stops. Traffic police has informed that the drive will be intensified in view of the quantum of violations which not only impede the flow of traffic but also create inconvenience to both commuters and pedestrians. Department has also published a list of off road designated parking sites in Srinagar city and has sought public co-operation to ensure safety of road users and to ease Traffic congestion.Commuters are advised to park their vehicles at designated parking places and avoid parking on roads to prevent action under law.
