Paying glowing tributes to one of the iconic leaders of the ongoing resistance movement and Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) founder, Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on his 32nd martyrdom anniversary, Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday said that for taking the mission of Kashmiri martyrs to the logical conclusion, the people need to remain steadfast and show their complete commitment towards the freedom movement.Stressing that for the past several decades, the Kashmiris have been striving for their just cause of right to self-determination and sacrificing their lives and properties, he said that a just and permanent solution to the long pending vexed issue of Kashmir in accordance with the wishes of the people of Kashmir be found through a meaningful dialogue process involving all the stakeholders to the issue.Urging India and Pakistan leadership to exhibit statesmanship and foresightedness for resolving this long-standing issue, Mirwaiz called for involving the Kashmiris in the dialogue process initiated by the two countries for creating a conducive atmosphere and reaching at a dignified solution of the issue.

Meanwhile, an Hurriyat (M) delegation comprising of senior Hurriyat leaders Ghulam Nabi Wasim and Ghulam Nabi War besides others visited the martyred leader Muhammad Maqbool Bhat’s ancestral village Tregham, Kupwara where they participated in a public meeting held for paying homage to Shaheed Bhat. They paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and pledged to carry forward the mission of the martyrs to its logical conclusion. In the meantime Hurriyat (M) leaders Muhammad Musadiq Adil, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Mir Ghulam Hassan, Muhammad Afzal, Abdul Rashid Kaboo and others held a prayer meeting in the apple town of Sopore where they paid rich tributes to Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat.Meanwhile, an Hurriyat (M) spokesman has strongly condemned the curbs and undeclared curfew imposed on Shaher-i-Khas and other parts of Srinagar city and detention of resistance leaders on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.
