Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia today said the real face of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leaders had been exposed with the surrender and seeking of bail in a criminal defamation cases by AAP Punjab Incharge Sanjay Singh in Ludhiana today. In a statement here, Mr Majithia said AAP and its leaders had been exposed as liars and unreliable people as AAP Convenor Suchha Singh Chhotepur had categorically stated that Sanjay Singh would not seek bail in the case and that the party stood by him. He said as far as Sanjay Singh was concerned, seeing the noose tightening around him, he chose to file a bail application today. "Both leaders have proven themselves to be true chameleons who change their stance as and when it suited them."

The Revenue minister said Sanjay Singh  by surrendering himself before the Ludhiana court had proven that like his senior party leaders he could not be trusted to keep his word. "Sanjay issued a number of statements claiming he was ready to go to jail on the issue. However when the time came to keep his promise he chose to act like a coward and retract on his stand. Today instead of sticking to his stand Sanjay moved a bail application and submitting sureties in the court proving he is a rank opportunist and master of double speak and not man enough to stick to his averred statement".Chiding Sanjay Singh for feeling scared and not living up to his self proclaimed ideals,  the Revenue minister reminded him that this was only step one. "I have told you that you will have to pay for the misinformation campaign launched by you and I will work steadfastly to achieve this goal", he added.

The SAD leader said Sanjay Singh's u turn was emblematic of the politics of AAP. "The party believes in hit and run tactics. It even evokes the name of martyrs to befool the people. However when confronted it takes a u turn and eats humble pie". Mr Majithia said on his part he was firm in his resolve to show loud mouths like Sanjay Singh their actual place which is behind bars. He further said that though the AAP leaders had gone back on their words and surrendered in court, he like a true Punjabi would stand by each word he had uttered and ensure Sanjay Singh is not allowed to go back to UP and is put behind bars. The SAD leader said in doing so he would only be exposing the true face of AAP." I have full faith in the judiciary and the judicial process and am sure that justice will prevail", he added.
