District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today chaired an interactive meeting with the representatives of the media fraternity of Baramulla.
The meeting was aimed at discussing various issues and grievances of the media fraternity on their request.While appreciating the role of media fraternity in the development of the district, the DDC called for focusing on Positive Journalism aimed at minimizing the problems of people. The DDC stressed upon the Media personnel to reach out to the public and ensure that their issues are brought into the notice of the administration. She said the media should act like a bridge between administration and people. Issues like positive journalism, cooperation and coordination between the administration and the Media fraternity, role of media in the development of the society were threadbare discussed during the meeting.It was highlighted that the main aim of both administration and media should be an effective public service and development of the district.Members of the Executive Body of Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) and other journalists were present in the meeting.
