To review the progress made for improving sanitation and cleanliness in the whole district under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Bahir Ahmed Dar convened a meeting with various departments in his office chamber here today. The meeting was attended by PO ICDS, Ashok Pandita, CPO, Parhotam Kumar, CMO, ACD, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineer, PHE, and various other officers In the meeting, officers briefed the DDC about the activities, programmes and other IEC campaigns initiated by the various departments under SBM with the help of local people and PRIs. Pointing to the various diseases born out of filth and garbages, DDC exhorted upon the officers for making the people aware about the results of poor sanitary conditions. DDC asked the officers to introduce innovative techniques for disposing the waste materials from the streets. He directed them to utilize all funds in a proper way focusing on health and hygiene of the people.
