In order to review the progress and achievements under SSA and RMSA schemes, District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today chaired a meeting of the officers of Education Department at Dak Bungalow Baramulla.A thorough review of the creation of ICT centres under SSA was taken. It was given out that 10 Computer Aided Learning Centres (CAL) are being created in the district, for which infrastructure facilities have been completed, and the required Computer systems will also be installed in these centres. Moreover, it was informed during the meeting that 18 ICT centres have been created under RMSA in the district.Stressing on upgrading infrastructure and enhancing quality education under SSA and RMSA, the DDC called for putting serious efforts in enabling effective implementation of the schemes. The DDC said every issue regarding the infrastructural facilities should be brought into the notice of the DDC via Chief Education Officer’s Office. The DDC also added that every Higher Secondary School in the district should create an anthem and a flag of its own. The DDC also added. “Every Class should be distributed in 4-houses with specific names”. Directions were also given for issuing a School magazine after every 6 months.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Chief Education Officer, Zonal Education Officers, Principals and Nodal officers of SSA.
