Woman dies of alleged ‘doctors’ negligence’

Family of a woman who died at Sub District Hospital Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have accused doctors of the hospital of negligence.According to GNS correspondent, family members of a middle-aged woman, Afshana wife of Bashir Ahmed Paloo, resident of Takiyabal in Sopore, was admitted at SDH Sopore as she was suffering from Asthama but she couldn’t survive and breathed her last.The family members alleged that Afshana died due to sheer negligence on the part of doctors and other medical staff. “Doctors assured us that the condition of patient is normal. 

But how come she died then? This is because of negligence of doctors and reason for her death,” said Junaid Bashir, the deceased woman’s son.Meanwhile, hospital authorities have denied the allegations of family members and said the woman died “naturally”.“Since last evening patient was under treatment here and was treated by available staff. The patient's condition was also stable but nobody can stop the God's will. The family’s anger is genuine as they have lost their family member” said Block Medical Officer, Dr Sameer Ahmed. (GNS)
