Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today ridiculed the Congress Party for fleeing from the Khadoor Sahib poll battle fearing a humiliating defeat.Interacting with media persons here after inaugurating the state of the art Mattewal Police Station, Mr. Majithia said the anti-people stance of this party was the real reason why it had been decimated in the entire region. He said the Congress party, instead of taking any lessons from these defeats, was now boycotting elections as it could not face the electorate.Referring to complete ban imposed on recruitment in various departments by Congress Party during its regime, Mr. Majithia said the Congress did grave injustice with the youngsters of the State. He said during the SAD-BJP rule more that one lakh youth had already been recruited and recruitment of another lakh youth was in the pipeline. He said the focus of the ruling alliance was to provide maximum job opportunities to youth of the state besides creating job avenues through private sector investments. Earlier Mr. Majithia accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Amritsar Mr. Jasdeep Singh inaugurated state-of-the-art building of Mattewal Police Station constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.56 crore. After inauguration Mr. Majithia in his address asked the police officers/officials to ensure justice delivery in a hassle free manner. He said that police department should ensure its functioning in tandem with general public.Giving a call to police department for ensuring people-friendly character, Mr. Majithia said that speedy and hindrances free justice should also be ensured in police stations. He also lauded the role of Punjab Police for successfully neutralize terror attacks at Dina Nagar and Pathankot. He also urged the senior police officers to take stern actions against law-breakers.Mr. Majithia also announced to construct state-of-the-art Sub-Tehsil Complex at Tarsikka in coming months.
