With an objective to commemorate National Voters Day, Heritage School today organised an inter-constituency quiz competition in which Booth Level Officers (BLOs) hailing from all constituencies of Jammu district participated.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Rifat Kohli was the chief guest on the occasion.While addressing the gathering, ADC said that these kinds of initiatives give an opportunity to the students to learn about the election procedures and their responsibility towards the electoral system. The children must know about their right to vote as they will become stakeholders in the development of the state in the near future, she added.Three representatives from each constituency including Nagrota, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu East, Jammu West, Bishnah, RS Pura, Suchetgarh, Marh, Raipur Domana, Akhnoor and Chhamb took part in the contest based on the election procedures and norms.70-Nagrota constituency team comprising of Amanat Ali, Ajay Sharma and Sanjay Banihal emerged as winners in the competition while as 80-Chhamb and 72-Jammu East managed to clinch second and third positions respectively.The ADC congratulated the winners and wished them success in future events also. ADC (Law and Order), Jammu Arun Manhas, Assistant Commissioner Nazool and ERO-70 Nagrota, Ranjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner ACG and ERO 74-Bishnah Smt Shahnaz Akhtar, ERO-71 Gandhi Nagar Shahid Mehmod besides Dr. Gautam Guha, Vice Principal and Kartik Gupta, Trustees from Heritage School Management were also present on the occasion.
