DDC reviews health projects in Kupwara

District Development Commissioner Kupwara today reviewed the status of ongoing developmental works in the health sector in the district.The Chief Medical officer, Kupwara, Chief Planning Officer, all concerned BMOs attended the meeting and discussed various health related projects.CMO informed that under District plan 2015-16 Rs. 216.60 lakh were earmarked for the health sector. He said 61 works were taken up by various executing agencies and out of these 18 works have been completed so far and other works are under progress.The meeting was informed that 10 lakh patients were treated under OPD, 58043 under IPD and 2957 major and 46236 minor operations were conducted in the district up to December 2015.The CMO informed the meeting that 6225 deliveries were registered at government hospitals in the district, besides 209693 laboratory investigations, 34391 X-rays, 18662 USGs and 13414 ECGs were conducted during the period.DDC Kupwara impressed upon the Health officers to complete the works expeditiously and ensure implementation of all decisions taken in the District Development Board meetings with respect to health sector in Kupwara, Handwara, Langate and Lolab.
