Drug - De-addiction  awareness  camp  was  organized  in  Central  Jail  Jammu  Kotbhalwal  in collaboration  with  J&K  Society  for  promotion  of  Youth  and  Masses, (Mashwara)  Purkhoo  under  the  directions  of  Director  General  of  Police, Prisons  J&K  Jammu   S. K. Mishra.The  programme  started  with  poster  exhibition  on  drug  abuse  and  its  ill  effects.  All Jail inmates and Prison Staff participated in the Drug abuse programme enthusiastically.Later on  awareness  speech  regarding  Psychotropic  Drugs  and  its  ill effect on  different  parts  of  the body  was  given  by  Project  Director,  Pallavi  Singh. Medical  Officer, Mashwara  Kendra  &  Programme  Officer,  Navneet  Kour  highlighted  the  relation between  HIV  and  Drug  abuse.A  Drawing  competition was  organized  among  the  Jail  inmates  regarding  ill  effects  of  Drug Abuse. Convict  P. Parshotam, stood  first,  Convicts  Harmeet  Singh  and  Roshan Lal, stood  second  and  third. Prizes  were  distributed  to  the  winners  by  Dinesh  Sharma,  Superintendent  Jail  and   Project  Director  Pallavi  Singh.Superintendent Jail Dinesh  Sharma and  Dr.  Nipun Kalsotra  also  spoke  on  the  Drug  abuse  and  its  ill  effects.  Vote of Thanks was presented by  Dr. Rajinder  Kumar.
