In order to finalize the arrangements for Republic Day-2016 celebrations, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened a high level meeting of officers, here today.Finalizing the arrangements made for the national event, Divisional Commissioner directed the officers concerned to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, medicare facilities, refreshment, sanitation, parking, traffic and security arrangements in an around the venue where main function is to be held.Divisional Commissioner asked the police authorities to ensure adequate security cover at the venue besides traffic police was asked to manage smooth traffic movement for convenience of general public in reaching the M.A. Stadium.Dr. Kotwal directed the officers to monitor proper parking arrangements at the identified slots for the vehicles of VIP’s/dignitaries/ other guests coming to attend the function. Hestressed for close coordination between the concerned departments/agencies for the smooth conduct of the national event.The meeting was attended by IGP Jammu Danish Rana, Director General Youth Services and Sports, Jahangir Mir, Joint Director Information, Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Joint Commissioner JMC, R.S. Jamwal, ADDC Anuradha Gupta, ACG Shehnaz Chowdhary, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Madan Lal, SSP Traffic Mohan Lal, SSP Security Romesh Kumar besides officers from other concerned departments.
