At least two people were killed and three others severely injured on Wednesday when an avalanche engulfed skiers in the French Alps, including of a group of school children from Lyon and their teacher.The avalanche occurred at about 1500 GMT and hit a black-rated ski trail at the Deux-Alpes resort in the department of Isere, eastern France, which had been closed to the public, Xinhua quoted France Info, French news radio channel, as saying.A group of around 10 schoolchildren from a secondary school from Lyon and their teacher who took the trail were engulfed by the avalanche.
