District Development Commissioner, Anantnag today urged upon all the executing agencies and concerned officers for speeding up the pace of development works so that the assigned targets are fulfilled well in time and benefit of the schemes percolates down to the masses.
District Development Commissioner was reviewing the Health sector today at an officers meeting held at Khanabal Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Anantnag and concerned officers of health, R&B and other allied departments participated in the meeting.District Development Commissioner took stock of the upto date progress of the schemes being implemented under District Plan/State Plan, NRHM, RBSK and other sectors.It was given out in the meeting that an expenditure of Rs. 214.49 lakh has been made under district plan against an availability of Rs. 234.48 lakh which include Rs. 175.85 lakh as revenue component and Rs. 38.64 lakh as capital component which constitutes 91.47 percent of the availability. One sub centre and four primary health centres are likely to be completed by the end of March 2014.It was further informed that during 2013-14, 922951 OPD patients and 70617 IPD patients have been treated in different health institutions of the district. 4815 major and 16647 minor surgeries have also been performed.Under ISM, 8687 patients in 32 Medical Aid camps have been treated besides 2897 students have been treated in 16 school health hygiene camps besides.10991 institutional deliveries under NRHM have been recorded, 8594 escorted by ASHAS, incentives to 9291 mother beneficiaries under JSY have also been paid to the tune of Rs. 1.54 crore. 189 cases of female sterilisation have also been performed, besides 5726 Village Health Nutrition Days (VHNDs) have also been conducted.An expenditure of Rs. 163.21 lakh under JSSK has been made during 2013-14 till date against availability of Rs. 165.80 lakh. The exercise for manpower recruitment and hiring of vehicles for facilitating health checkups under RBSK has been completed.The renovation work on MCCH Anantnag at an estimated cost of 38-58 lakh is going on with full swing. The 09 USG clinics under government sector and 12 under private sector have been registered, 02 clinics have been locked under PC&PNDT Act.The District Development Commissioner urged upon all the concerned officers to work with zeal and zest for completing the set targets.
