Development of works under R&B, PMGSY reviewed at Anantnag

A meeting to review the progress of various schemes under implementation in R&B and PMGSY sector of district Anantnag was held at Dak Bungalow Khanabal under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone.Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Joint Director/Chief Planning Officer, Anantnag Superintending Engineer PWD (R&B) Circle, Anantnag - Kulgam, Executive Engineers of R&B pision, Khanabal, Qazigund Vailoo and various Assistant Executive Engineers of Anantnag district were present in the meeting.It was given out in the meeting that in the R&B Sector an amount of Rs. 16.97 crore has been spent under District, State Sector, NABARD and CRF during current year upto November, 2013 against and availability of Rs. 24.21 crore which is 70 percent of the available funds, 102.41 Kms road length has been blacktopped, 79.54 Kms have been upgraded by way of WBM, all Grades and 6052 RMs drains have been constructed in the district during the said period.Under NABARD 101 schemes have been taken up for execution so far at a cost of Rs. 183.76 crore, out of which 53 schemes have already been completed and 48 are presently ongoing.Under PMGSY, 168 new connectivity and 02 upgradation schemes have been taken up for execution at a cost of Rs. 225.68 crore, out of which 112 schemes already been completed and road length of 141.62 Kms have been blacktopped and fair weather road length of 188.29 Kms have been completed.
