Sagar inspects work on shrine of Dastageer Sahib (RA)

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Muhammad Sagar today directed the officers to speed up pace of work on Dastageer Sahib Shrine and ensure its re-construction as soon as possible.The Minister was interacting with officers during his visit to the revered shrine of Dastgeer Sahib (RA) to oversee the status of its re-construction work. He was accompanied by senior officers of various executing agencies involved in carrying out its re-construction work.Sagar asked the officers to work in coordination with each other and ensure a synergized approach for its completion. He said that bottlenecks, if any, should be removed and the pace of work speeded up, so that it is completed in all respects.The Minister said that the work should be executed strictly according to the plan already approved in consultation with various architectural patterns, which is strictly in accordance with the old existing patterns and structure. He said that the people of every section of society are emotionally attached with the shrine and we have to ensure its early completion for the devotees coming to pay their obeisance.The mister later distributed relief to the fire suffers at Koolipora in the old city Srinagar. He was accompanied by the Deputy commissioner Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmed Shah and other senior officers of the district Administration.The Minister directed the officers to provide the necessary relief to the victims and prepare a comprehensive report, so that adequate compensation can be provided to the victims.
