District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal today inspected Industrial Training Institute Sopore and took serious note of the encroachment in the ITI Land.29 kanal and 10 marlas ITI land has been encroached and a part of the land is being illegally used as a road by the people living in the adjoining area. The DDC issued strict directions to the concerned for constructing a permanent fence around the ITI land. She added “strict legal action will be taken against ITI land encroachers”.Meanwhile during a visit to the Sopore Fruit Mandi, the DDC interacted with the representatives of the Trade associations and listened to their demands. Issues related to drinking water facilities, sub-standard pesticides, extension of the Fruit Mandi and construction of new shops at the fruit Mandi were highlighted on this occasion.Earlier, the DDC also inspected the Industrial Land at Amargarh Sopore. Directions were issued for the shifting of the CRPF mechanical division from the land and it was decided that industrial units will be established and made functional.The DDC was accompanied by Joint Director Planning, SDM Sopore and other officers during her visit to Sopore.
