FAST Building Contracting Company has signed an agreement with the Women Sports Department (WSD) at Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) to become the strategic sponsor for the WSD teams participating in the Arab Women Sports Tournament – Sharjah 2016 (AWST) taking place from February 2-12, 2016.Under the agreement signed by Fathi Gabr Afana, the Executive Director of FAST Building Contracting Company and Nada Al Naqbi, Deputy Head of AWST’s Supreme organising Committee, Head of Esecutive Committee, Manager of WSD at SLC, the company will be the strategic sponsor for the eight SLC teams, with 150 players participating in various sporting events at AWST 2016.The third edition will include eight sports – basketball and volleyball in team sports, and table tennis, fencing, archery, shooting and athletics in individual sports, as well as show jumping.
Also, FAST’s logo will appear on the SLC’s uniforms.GabrAfana expressed his pleasure in sponsoring the SLC teams of the WSD participating in AWST 2016. Arab countries outside the Gulf expressed interest in taking part in future events and as a result, HH SheikhaJawaher developed the Arab Women Sports Tournament, organised once every two years to raise the profile of women's sports in the Arab region.
