New Delhi , 28 Dec 2015

The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday said the central government "has no authority" to stop the commission of inquiry from probing the alleged irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA)."The central government is working under the influence of someone and is making a joke of itself. It has no authority to hold the commission of inquiry from forming and functioning," AAP leader Ashutosh said here at a press conference. He said it was known to everyone that Delhi High Court had on September 22 refused to stay the previous commission of inquiry from probing the CNG fitness scam that was established by the Delhi government.Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung on September 17 had directed all officers not to follow AAP government's orders which were declared "null and void" by the union government, otherwise they would face strict action for non-compliance of the order.

The Delhi government had sought a stay on Jung's September 17 notification and the central government sought direction to stay the Delhi government's August 11 notification setting up a commission of inquiry without the lt. governor's nod.Earlier during the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a series of tweets said that no one was given a clean chit by any Delhi government probe panel. This comes a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party sought an apology from Kejriwal for his allegations against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the DDCA row.Kejriwal, who is also the Aam Aadmi Party convenor, said he would not oblige the BJP with an apology.
