Jammu , 22 Dec 2015

Ranjeet Singh, National President Bahujan Kranti Party (BKP) (Marxvad-Ambedkarvad), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan.Mr. Singh submitted a memorandum to the Governor regarding BKP’s demands for bringing about the required constitutional and statutory provisions for improving the electoral process, particularly deleting the names of the contesting candidates from the ballot paper; election related expenditures being met by Government instead of by the contesting candidates and their political parties; elections being contested on the basis of the political party ideologies  and not in the name of any individual; grant of right to political parties to recall elected candidates; terminating recognition of political parties who fail to fulfill 75% of promises mentioned in their election manifestoes and doing away with MPLAD and Constituency Development Funds as these promote corruption.
