In a day-long tour of village Kalai of Surankote Sub Division, Member Legislative Assembly Surankote, Ch. Mohammad Akram today inspected several development works and interacted with the villagers here.Block Development Officer Surankote, Mukhtar Ahmed, Executive Engineer R&B, Mushtaq Raina besides XENs and AEEs of PMGSY, PHE and PDD accompanied the MLA.The MLA impressed upon the officers of R&B, PHE and PMGSY to expedite completion of all development works within stipulated time frame. He asked the R&B authorities to ensure timely completion of Sakhi Maidan-Kalai road so that road connectivity between the tehsil Mendhar, Haveli and Surankote is improved.
He also directed the PMGSY authorities for blacktopping of all the left out patches of Kalai PMGSY road.The MLA assured the villagers that the already sanctioned water supply scheme for the village will soon be started and instructed the XEn PHE for necessary action in this regard.Meanwhile, the MLA assured adequate assistance for repair of Primary School Thal and asked the XEn R&B for projection of estimates.The MLA gave patient hearing to the grievances of the villagers and assured their redressal while asking them to remain vigilant in monitoring various development works in the village.
