Punjab has again put up a good show in ongoing 61st National School Games, which are being held in the various parts of the country. The boys and Girls teams of the state has bagged gold medal in U-17 category of Tug of War event in 61st National School Games.While greeting the winning Players their Coaches and Parents for this splendid achievement, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister said that this achievement is the result of consistent hard work the players had put in. He said that the Education Department has been giving priority to the sports from the primary level by providing every kind of infrastructure and technical assistance to the players.Disclosing this here today Mr. Sarabjit Singh Toor, Deputy Director (Sports) said that Punjab Boys and Girls teams bagged the Gold Medal in the U-17 Tug of War tournament held at Malkapur (Maharashtra). Earlier, Punjab bagged gold medals in Football, Hockey, Kabbadi, Gatka and Roler Skating events in the ongoing 61st National School Games.
