The District Development Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda today distributed incentives among the beneficiaries of villages Chak Dolma and Rajpura under the Swach Bharat Mission during an awareness programme organised at BDO Office Rajpura.The programme was attended by ACD Samba Tilak Raj, DPO Samba Deepak Dubey, Tehsildar Rajpura Preeti Sharma, BDO Rajpura Ram Dayal Sharma , local Sarpanches, panches and community members.The beneficiaries were also given appreciation letter highlighting the significant role played by them towards achieving a ‘Clean India’. On the occasion ACD Samba and DPO Samba highlighted the various rural development schemes.
DDC while addressing the gathering informed about the important welfare schemes like laadli beti and NFSA schemes and exhorted upon the people to avail the benefits of these schemes . She said that fresh data is being collected under NFSA so that ration could be supplied to each eligible beneficiary
Later, the DDC also held a meeting with members of Bar Council Samba.Principal District and Session Judge Samba M.L Manhas, Additional Magistrate Swati Gupta , President Bar Association Subash Singh Sambyal and members of bar association were present in the meeting.The members highlighted their various issues like sanitation facilities for public and advocates, renovation of bar room and special line for electricity. The DDC assured them that the administration will give utmost priority to their issues.
