Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today visited various areas including Sursyar and Dadaopmpora villages of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency and took stock of the ongoing developmental works in the area .Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad and senior officers of district administration accompanied the Minister during his tour.The Minister directed the district administration to work with utmost dedication, honesty and deliver their duties diligently. He asked them to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental projects and complete them in a stipulated time frame. He also stressed on generating awareness among the people about the welfare schemes launched by the State and Central Government.
Addressing a series of public meetings at different places, the Minister said that the PDP-BJP Government headed by the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will definitely lead to prosperity and development of the State. He said skill development programme and other innovative welfare schemes like Ladli Beti and AASRA have been launched which will benefit a large section of the society.While speaking about implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) Mr Hanjura said that some political parties have launched a misinformation campaign on NFSA to mislead the people adding that implementation of NFSA is the biggest achievement of the present Government which would go a long way in plugging the pilferages in the existing public distribution system .
The Minister said that previous regime has ignored the development of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency especially upper regions and said that the present Government is fully aware about the problems of the people and strenuous efforts are on to ensure equitable development of all areas . Adding that funds for Sursyar-Check and Botkhud road projects have been sanctioned and construction work on these projects would start soon. “We are committed to upgrade the basic infrastructure in all sectors and for the purpose, liberal funding is being provided”, he added.He stressed that directions have already been given to the administration to ensure prompt response to redress the grievances of the people.
