A meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the Quarter ended September 2015 of Jammu district, convened by the Lead Bank office, State Bank of India, Jammu was held at PWD Guest House Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the chairmanship of Ms Anuradha Gupta, Addl. District Development Commissioner, Jammu on 18-12-2015 to review the performance of banks in regard to achievement under Annual Credit Plan of 2015-16 and also to review the position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio.At the outset, Yash Pal Bhagat, Lead District Manager, District Jammu, welcomed Chairperson and all other participants from Govt. departments and banking sector in the meeting.Lead District Manager, informed the house that deposits of the district were Rs.25932.70 Crores and Advances was Rs.8094.37 Crores, as on 30.09.2015. The C.D. Ratio of the district was 31.21%.The chairperson stressed upon to increase the C.D. Ratio

Under ACP-2015-16, the achievement of banks was 25.33% upto Sept 2015 i.e achievement of Rs. 1717.08 crores against the annual target of Rs.6780.09 crores. The Chairperson exhorted all the banks to redouble their efforts in the current financial year so that the annual targets of FY 2015-16 are achieved in a time bound manner.Lead District Manager told the house that 255 Financial Literacy Camps were organized by the Rural branches of banks in Jammu district upto Sept.2015. The chairperson stressed on the fact that FLC camps  should be held on a regular basis and these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness amongst the people about the newly launched schemes like PMSBY, PMJJBY APY  and Mudra loan. The chairperson also instructed the Banks to invite the representative of the Agriculture Department so that problems relating to low disbursement of KCCs could be addressed. Further, the chairperson suggested that the banks may also involve Govt. Departments for conducting FLC camps so that such camps can become a platform for achieving synergy between Govt. Departments and Banks.

Chairperson emphasized that awareness Camps regarding banking facilities for Education loans should be conducted regularly and instructed the major Banks to hold education loan camps in Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges. She further suggested that seminars may be held in coordination with the Education Department so that the information about the scheme may get percolated to the grass root level.Chairperson  also suggested that Lead Bank should draw a calendar for organising product specific camps like housing loan melas, Education fairs, MSME seminars etc. so that awareness about such facilities is disseminated to specific target groups. Chairperson also appreciated the efforts made by Madan Gupta, State project Manager JKSRLM for 100% achievement in establishing the SHGs.The meeting had also a detailed review of all the Govt. sponsored schemes with special focus on KCCs and PMEGP Schemes. The LDM also advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in the panchayats in coordination with banks, so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to initiate self employment.The meeting was also attended by R B Gupta, AGM, RBI, L. R. Dogra AGM NABARD; Distt. Coordinators of J & K Bank, PNB, JKGB, EDB & representatives from all other Banks and Government Departments.
