In connection with arrangements being made for celebration of ensuing Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) and Christmas, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting of district administration, representatives  of Muslim and Christian Community here today. The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers for providing every basic facility to the devotees such as transport, un-interrupted power and drinking water supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities.He enjoined upon the Traffic Department to regulate the traffic  especially during processions to be taken out as part of  Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) and Christmas to facilitate the devotees and ensure better transport facilities. He directed Municipal Corporation Jammu to ensure sanitation in and around the mosques and churches.  

He also stressed upon PDD  and PHE authorities to put in  necessary efforts  for ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply during the festivals.Similarly, the DC also directed the health authorities for deployment of additional doctors and para medical staff to facilitate the devotees.The Deputy Commissioner stressed on synergy among line departments for ensuring adequate arrangements for the smooth and colourful celebration of festivals.Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Arun Manhas, ACG Jammu Shehnaz Akhter ,Joint Commissioner JMC R.S Jamwal  and Administrator Auqaf.
