To improve the financial condition of Punjab Roadways and Punjab Road Transport Corporation  Ajit Singh Kohar, Transport Minister Punjab has directed to ensure the plying of buses as per the Kilometer allotted to each.  While presiding over a meeting of the General Managers of PRTC and Punjab Roadways here at Punjab Bhawan, Kohar asked them to ensure the maintenance of buses  as per  requirements. He also asked to the officers to achieve the time bound fixed targets of providing quality transport facilities to the people and work with full commitment & dedication. He said that the officers concerned would be held responsible for any delay in public works and would be punished for that.Kohar also emphasized the rationalization of Roadways staff. He said that all the drivers and conductors must respect the passengers and misbehavior with the any passengers would not be tolerated at any cost. Prominent among others Chairman PRTC Ranjit Singh Balian, Secretary Transport Mandeep Singh and MD PRTC DPS Kharbanda and General Managers of Roadways and PRTC were present in the meeting
