Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali and Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kohli alongwith representatives of Forum of SC, ST Legislators and Parliamentarians called on Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi here today.The other members of the delegation included Mr Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs,  Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker Punjab Assembly, Mr Vijay Sampla, Union Minister of State  for Social Justice, Mr Dhani Ram Shandil, Minister for Social Justice Himachal Pradesh, Arjum Ram Meghwal, MP, Amar Shankar Sable, MP, Anand Rao, MP,  Inder Iqbal Atwal, former MLA and working President of Forum of SC, ST Legislators and Parliamentarians of India, Thupstan Chhewang, MP, Faggan Singh Kulaste, MP and Chairman Lok Sabha Committee on Welfare of SC & ST, Dr Kirti Bhai Solanki, MP, Vincent H Pala, MP, Rattan Lal Kataria, MP, Ram Dass Athawale, MP, Dr Sunil Baliram Gaikwad, MP, Geeta Kothapalli,MP, Virender Kashyap, MP, Ajay Tama MP,  BV Nayak, MP and CL Rulla, MP.

The delegation discussed various issues pertaining to the welfare of SC, ST, OBC and Residents of Backward Areas.The delegation demanded, strengthening and implementation of atrocity act 1989, revision of pre and post-matric scholarships,  reservations in private sector, stopping of outsourced contract system in urban and local bodies and various other issues pertaining to the welfare of weaker sections of society.
