District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba, Sheetal Nanda today convened a meeting of all concerned district and sectoral officers to take a review of implementation of village development plan (VDP) for Panchayat Sangwali, Block Ghagwal which has been adopted by Dr. Jitendera Singh, Union Minister of State, PMO for development as Model Village under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).The meeting was attended by the ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, ACD Tilak Raj, GM DIC Krishan Lal, CMO Samba, CAO Samba, XEN PWD and heads of all district and sectoral officers.DPO, Samba informed that 45 Integrated Household Latrine Units have been installed and work is underway to bring open defecation to zero percent . AD, Employment informed the meet about 213 registrations of unemployed youth falling in the area.
Animal husbandry department conveyed that the department will organize infertility treatment camps for livestock in the area very shortly.DDC samba directed CEO, Samba to give special focus on computer training, reading, writing and recitation among the students and to take effective steps to increase the participation of the target groups in the Adult literacy camps being organized in the village. XEN PWD was also directed to provide estimates for drainage system.She also directed all departments to submit regular reports regarding the developmental works undertaken in the panchayat and take up activities as per the VDP at the earliest and adhere to the time schedule.
