To implement and switchover from existing Analog Cable TV Operator Network to Digital Addressable  System (DAS) in district Udhampur, the Additional District Magistrate (Angrez Singh Rana chaired a meeting  of all registered Private Local Cable  Operators (LCO’s) and District Level Monitoring Committee in his Office Chamber, here today.The ADC reviewed issues which mainly include replacing of Analog system by Digital Addressable System, status & progress of digitization process by cable operators, problems faced by LCO's at ground level, and issue of power supply to boosters of cable network.He stressed upon cable operators for early replacement of analog cable operation system by digital addressable system so that a quality signal would be provided to the subscribers of cable network. He also instructed all the cable operators to ensure that the digital signals should be provided to all the customers by 31st December, 2015 in the district.

The PDD department was directed to check illegal use of power supply to the boosters. He also instructed all the LCO's to ensure proper backup of boosters for uninterrupted services to the subscribers and also stressed upon them to not to use electricity illegally for power supply to the boosters. He exhorted for proper monitoring of switching over programme and to ensure the maintenance of quality of signal by LCOs.He also instructed the DLMC members to monitor the advertisement and programmes telecasted by cable networks and report to the chairman regarding any complaint for further strict action against the defaulter.Among others, District Information Officer Dr. Ashwani Hansa,  Professor Women College, Dr Sudhir Singh, AEE PDD, Surinder Gupta, Medical officer, Dr Anil Saloch, DE BSNL S K Jain, SDE BSNL Anil Kumar, Secretary MCU, Vijay Kumar, Assistant Post Master  Romesh Kumar, other Members of DLMC and cable operators of the district were  present in the meeting.
