Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi launched development works worth Rs 25.0 lacs in Rajinder Nagar and Lajpat Nagar, Ward No. 19, here today.Senior leader Yudhvir Sethi was also present on the occasion.

Rs 11.66 lacs would be provided from the CDF for the project that  includes laying of tiles, cross drainage works, deep drain construction and allied civil works.Underscoring on commitment of the government towards all round development of the state, Priya said liberal funding has been sanctioned by the central government for various sectors in the state and the funds would be utilised for launching as well as completing the development projects all over the state.

The Minister said that the recent special package announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would give necessary impetus to the development scenario in the state and ambitious infrastructure projects would get completed with the Rs 80,000 crore package.She directed the JMC authorities to ensure that the project gets completed within the stipulated time frame and quality standards are maintained while executing the development works.While addressing the gathering, Yudhvir said that the coalition government is working on the agenda of alliance and the two partners are committed to launch a development revolution in the state. He said the government has delivered on ground and aspirations of the people are being addressed by the present dispensation.

He said that in the last ten months the coalition government has launched and revived ambitious projects in Jammu division and the Chief Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister showed personal interest for initiating the long pending projects of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Ropeway project, multi-tier parking projects  in the city.“We have seen that people’s aspirations for prestigious AIIMS, IIT, artificial lake and other such projects have been met and special attention is also being paid to develop independent tourist circuits in the division,” he added.He said the people of the area were facing lot of hardships due to bad condition of lanes, drains and the remodelling project would ensure that the ward gets equipped with modern urban infrastructure.Prominent among others who were present on the occasion include, Anju Dogra, Rajesh Dogra, Vinod Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Subah Sabharwal, Krishan Pahalwan, Mann Dayi, Ram Prasad, Raj Kumar Gupta, Ravi Mehra and Harjeet Singh.
